Wardruna are a Norwegian group dedicated to creating musical renditions of Norse cultural and esoteric traditions. They’re released three full-length albums, each based on a set of runes (letters in ancient Germanic alphabets). They also make significant use of historic and traditional instruments, including deer-hide drums, flutes, karviklyr tagelharpe (a type of harp), and goat horns.
