2023 has been an excellent year of programming for us to celebrate our 10th Anniversary, with world-class acts such as Ezra Collective, Self Esteem, Young Fathers, Roisin Murphy + many many more gracing our stage. But it does not stop there! As we head into our busy gig season we have more exciting acts coming up.

We asked our staff if there are any particular shows they enjoyed (or) which show’s they are most excited for as we look forward!

Jenny Collins – Trainee Assistant Manager – Roisin Murphy

My favourite gig of this year was definitely Roisin Murphy. She had a really cool stage set up, with probably the most costume changes we have ever seen from an artist here at Albert Hall! The whole way through the show she had the audience at her feet. An artist that big doing an intimate show at our venue felt really special because it felt like you were in a packed-out arena, but more personal.

Angus White – Stock Team Leader – Bakar

I’m really looking forward to Bakar coming to the Albert Hall at the end of November. Who is Bakar? Resisting a simple categorisation, his music is a cocktail of rap, rock and indie inspirations with a dash of his individual quirks. His two nights at Albert Hall will be a celebration of his second album “Halo” (releasing in September), although his set list will be sure to feature fan favourites such as “Alive” and “Hell n Back”. He has said performing is his “saving grace… his solace” and “where he feels most alive”. So be sure to expect a powerful performance packed full of raw emotion and energy in front of an Albert Hall crowd full of anticipation. I can’t wait!

This event is now sold-out on both dates!

Gina Bonnar – Accessibility Coordinator – Kelis

I was looking forward to seeing the Kelis gig for so long and definitely did not disappoint. She performed a lot of her old classics that everyone loved, such as Milkshake, Millionaire + Acapella but also did a lot of covers – my personal favourite was when she covered Crystal Waters – Gypsy Woman. The whole thing honestly felt more like a party than a gig from start to finish, the crowd was really responsive + everyone was in a great mood! I would definitely recommend going to see her if you can.

Caiomhe Scholes – Team Leader – Larkin Poe

I’m really excited for Larkin Poe in October. My dad + sister found them on youtube over lockdown and became a bit obsessed with their sound. They both went to a Larkin Por gig in Scotland a few years ago and I still hear about how amazing they are live so I’m looking forward to experiencing the duos unique sounds in the Albert Hall.

Laura – Bartender – Old Crow Medicine Show

A band i’m really looking forward to coming to Albert Hall is Old Crow Medicine Show! Touring to what will celebrate 25 years as a band they’re bringing their upcoming album Jubilee to the Hall. If the soon-to-be-released tracks Keel Over and Die or Bell Meade Cockfight aren’t enough to intrigue you then I dont know what will.

They’re an old-time string band from Nashville, made up of some of the best multi-instrumentalists in the scene, who have played and collaborated with some of my al time favourite musicians! Their shows are super fun + high energy with some incredible harmonies + killer solos that will sure to have you up dancing, singing + foot stomping!

Liam Walsh – Deputy Manager – Annie Mac / Sasha + John Digweed

I’m a big lover of the club nights we have here at the hall + Annie Mac was definitely my favourite of this year so far. This is because it was a different set up to usual, with the DJ decks on the floor and a 360-degree stage which was very different than just having the decks set up on our own stage. This made it more intimate, so i’m looking forward to the same set up for Sasha + John Digweed! This is a sold out show and they are legends who we’ve seen in the venue before. I’m really excited to see them back here again to a packed out room.
