The alternative festive happening – baroque, carols and the ultimate Christmas instrument.

Making their return to one of Manchester’s most stunning venues, Albert Hall, Manchester Camerata bring you a festive event for all the senses. The natural fit for Camerata, young Norwegian trumpeter Tine Thing Helseth is hailed for her communicative powers with audiences. Amidst the atmospheric surrounds of this old Wesleyan chapel, Tine joins the orchestra for an evocative programme of Bach, Corelli and some timeless carols, including In the Bleak Mid-Winter and Angels from the Realms of Glory.

‘A soulful approach to phrasing, quite astonishingly outstanding intonation and a sound which is open and honest…’
– Jonathan Freeman-Attwood, Gramophone
